Breeding alpacas is a family business for Alpacas de la Patagonia. With alpaca ranches in both North and South America, we take pride in merging the distinct animal husbandry techniques and breeding strategies of the two hemispheres. A visit to Patagonia's 150 acre farm reveals several hundred huacayas and suris grazing the gently rolling, lush pastures. We are well-known for putting some of our best alpacas up for auction . This year is no exception. All alpacas sell with our legendary customer support and open females sell with a free breeding to the Patagonia herdsire of Buyer's choice. A purchase of an alpaca from Patagonia, makes Buyer eligible to use any of the Patagonia herdsires (including those herdsires which are restricted) to breed any of their females to.

PATAGONIA - a mark of quality. 2007 marks our 10th year in the United States. When we arrived in 1997, we found that there was a wide spread belief that all Chilean alpacas were of inferior quality. We decided to get into the showring and attempt to change that mind set. We are proud of our Chilean bloodlines and the mark of quality that "Patagonia" has come to represent.
