With 13 years full-time experience breeding and raising alpacas, Doug and Denise Caldwell are still as excited about the alpaca industry today as they were when they purchased their first three alpacas in 1994.  Much has changed since that time except for the commitment of A.L. Paca’s Farms to produce exceptional offspring. This “commitment” has been the basis of their business since the beginning…….and has also allowed them their success.

Located in the beautiful Finger Lakes Region of New York, Doug and Denise are proud of their 100 acre farm and have worked hard to create a breeding program that has brought females alpacas to their farm from all over the United States.  Their herdsires are well-known and have been throwing show winning crias.

A.L. Paca’s outstanding show record with their offspring is also a source of pride for Doug and Denise. In 2006 alone, their alpacas won 48 championships and 85 blue ribbons; quite a remarkable achievement considering their show string numbered 9 or less in size.
