Snowmass Private Reserve is simply the most spectacular Black male we have ever produced. He is the reason we felt comfortable selling his sire, Snowmass Nova, as this young stud was more than a replacement he was a Revolution in Black alpaca. Black is one of the hardest colors to keep fine and has been one of Snowmass Alpacas greatest challenges. For a male this well built to have such a fine fleece makes him even more of an anomaly. We rarely see size equate with Royal fineness even in whites. Well here is one in a MILLION in black.

As a juvenile this male was commented  by judges in the ring as Stunning....and you  just don't get this type of fiber in Black on top of such a strong frame. Our entire black breeding program is based on the success of Snowmass Nova's genetics as foundation. Therefore about all our black females are closely related to Snowmass Private Reserve and this limits our breeding ability with him. His first 2 cria out of unrelated black Dams are sensational Black females. Snowmass Private Reserve is truly one of the finest & densest black alpacas we've ever seen with a beautiful strong balanced frame. His density in combination with fineness is simply amazing for any colored fleece. Black is second most valuable in natural color to white in the fiber world. This male can stand alone against any black male to be the best of the best in Royal Black Genetic potential. His sire and Dam are Black as well and renowned in their own standing.
