AuSable Valley's Lady Luna LOT 8
Lady Luna comes from great genetics and it shows! Luna is out of a spectacular Caligula son, Peruvian Presidio and a blue ribbon winning dam, Delphi’s Hillary. Presidio is perhaps the finest-producing son of Accoyo Caligula, and his dam, 3Peruvian Senna, is a fawn from the Sollocata region of Peru. He now has 7 "Get of Sire" wins to his credit & was 2nd in "Get of Sire" at the 2004 National Show, in what Judge Mike Safely called the "best Get of Sire class" he'd ever judged. His crias have more than 70 color championships and over 90 blue ribbons. Caligula is gone and Peruvian Presidio breedings are no longer available therefore Luna is a great way to add this super bloodline to your breeding program. The handle of Luna’s fleece is amazingly soft. Her fleece is very dense, bright and exhibits lots of crimp and staple. A skin biopsy by Norm Evans, DVM showed that Luna’s density ranks in the top 1% of all Huacayas tested! Luna has a very typey head with great coverage. Her confirmation is very correct and her disposition is sweet. Lady Luna has honored her lineage with solid performances in the show ring this spring despite a small spot of color in her blanket. Luna took 2nd place in the highly competitive North American Alpaca Show. Judge Jude Anderson complemented Luna on her extremely soft handle, fineness, character, density, confirmation and head style. Luna was awarded a 6th place at the MAPACA Jubilee by Judge Kevin O'Leary out of a class of 11. Judge O'Leary commented that even though she had a small brown spot in her blanket he couldn't leave her out of the ribbons because she had "the longest staple in the class, broad & beautiful crimp style, lots of amplitude & so much density". Judge O’Leary also commented "in any color other than white Luna would have cleaned up!" Add Lady Luna to your show string for the Fall and Spring show seasons then breed her to our 6x Champion Peruvian Lancaster for what promises to be a spectacular cria. Or use the transferable Peruvian Lancaster breeding now on another female to produce a 2008 cria. Awards: 2nd Place North American Alpaca Show 2007, 6th Place MAPACA Jubilee 2007 Consigned by: AuSable Valley Alpacas- Jay & Julie Ward - Jay, NY Email Farm / Website Additional Photos
